THINK REALISTICALLY
Our minds can be very clever ay overthinking situation or blowing things out of proportion. Try to think realistically and say to yourself, “what is another way of thinking about this that might be more helpful?”

BE MINDFUL
In today’s society, we can often run an automatic pilot and forget to slow down and be fully fully present in the moment. Find 5 mins each day to stop, take some slow, deep breaths and notice your surroundings. You might be surprised at how doing this regularly can help you feel better.

STAY CONNECTED
Developing and maintaining close relationships with those around you is good for your emotional health. Try joining a club or group to interact with others who share similar interests.

BE ACTIVE
Find an activity (or two) you are intrested in (walking, cycling, yoga, swimming, tennis) and commit to being active several times a week. Exercise can help to relieve stress and lift your mood.

ASK FOR HELP
We all experience challenging times in our lives and asking for help early, rather than waiting for the situation to escalate, can help you feel better more quickly. Contact Oasis Psychology for a confidential service to help you work towards improved wellness.
